EchoClik ("the app", "we", "us") is built privacy-first. This policy explains what data the app and this website handle. In short: your clipboard history never leaves your Mac, and we don't run any analytics or tracking.
1. Your clipboard data stays on your device
Everything EchoClik captures — copied text, links, images, screenshots and OCR text — is stored only on your Mac, inside a local encrypted database. The content is encrypted with AES-GCM, and the master key is kept in the macOS Keychain.
- We do not upload, sync, or back up your clipboard to any server.
- We have no access to your clipboard contents — technically or otherwise.
- There is no account to create and no cloud component to your history.
2. No analytics or tracking
The app does not include third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or hidden telemetry. We do not build a profile of you or sell data to anyone — there is nothing to sell.
3. Purchases and licensing
Payments and license management are handled by our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy. When you buy a license, Lemon Squeezy processes your order and may collect information such as your name, email address, billing details and country, in order to complete the transaction, send your license key, and comply with tax law.
We receive limited order information (such as your email and license status) to provide support and validate licenses. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details. Please review the Lemon Squeezy Privacy Policy for how they handle your data.
4. License validation
To verify your license, the app periodically contacts the Lemon Squeezy licensing API, sending your license key and a hardware identifier for the activated Mac. The resulting token is stored signed (HMAC-SHA256) in your Keychain. This is used only to confirm your license is valid and to enforce the per-license activation limit.
5. System permissions
macOS may ask you to grant the app permissions such as Accessibility and Screen Recording so it can monitor the clipboard and run OCR. These permissions are used solely for the app's features on your device. You can review or revoke them at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security.
6. This website
This site is a static marketing page hosted on Cloudflare. Standard server logs (such as IP address and request metadata) may be processed by our hosting provider for security and reliability. We do not set advertising cookies or run cross-site trackers.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data held about you. Because we hold almost no personal data, most requests relate to order information held by Lemon Squeezy. Contact us and we'll help you exercise your rights.
8. Children
EchoClik is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
